Jeffrey Reed

Mr. Reed serves as the attorney for the Rutherford County Board of Education, one of the largest and fastest growing school systems in the State of Tennessee, and has done so since 1991. Mr. Reed is a member of the Tennessee School Board’s Association.

Within the community, Mr. Reed has served on the Board for the United Way for Middle Tennessee, the Board of Directors for the Middle Tennessee Symphony Guild, and the development board for Middle Tennessee Medical Center. Mr. Reed has been active in the Tennessee Bar Association, and has previously served in a number of Board Member capacities on the Tennessee Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division working as the Editor for its membership publications and the Governor for the Middle District of Tennessee for many years. Mr. Reed currently serves as a Hearing Officer for the Board of Professional Responsibility for the State of Tennessee which oversees the discipline of attorneys within the state.
Mr. Reed has been invited as a speaker before other attorneys at professional seminars concerning real estate development law, property law, and establishing declarations of covenants, conditions and restrictions for commercial and residential developments.

Mr. Reed is admitted to practice in Tennessee State Courts, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Reed received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee with highest honors in 1988, and received his doctorate of jurisprudence with honors from the University of Tennessee in 1991. He served as assistant editor to the Tennessee Law Review, and has authored several publications. While at law school, Mr. Reed received a number of American Jurisprudence awards and served on the Dean’s Council.

Mr. Reed has been invited as a speaker before other attorneys at professional seminars concerning real estate development law, property law, and establishing declarations of covenants, conditions and restrictions for commercial and residential developments.
