Daniel W. Ames

Mr. Ames joined Hudson, Reed & Christiansen, PLLC, in October of 2018 after graduating cum laude from the University of Tennessee College of Law. Daniel concentrates his practice on a wide variety of legal matters, including estate planning, criminal cases, civil litigation, and real estate law matters. He has assisted clients with the formation of their businesses and has prepared various estate planning documents including Last Wills and Testaments, Powers of Attorney, and Trusts for clients with varying needs.

While at the University of Tennessee College of Law, Daniel served as a Research Editor of the Tennessee Law Review and actively participated in several student organizations, including the Christian Legal Society and the Federalist Society. He also participated in several mock trial and moot court competitions and worked in the Innocence and Wrongful Convictions Clinic as well as a research assistant for Professor Glenn Reynolds, the Beauchamp Brogan Distinguished Professor of Law. Prior to law school, Mr. Ames graduated cum laude from Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Florida where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Humanities with a Prelaw Emphasis. While at Pensacola Christian College, Daniel was active in various student organizations including various leadership positions in his collegian organization.

He is admitted to practice law in all Tennessee state courts, the United State District Courts in the Middle District and Eastern District of Tennessee, as well as the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.

After growing up in Alabama, Texas, and California, Daniel moved to Rutherford County in high school and calls Murfreesboro, Tennessee home. In his free time, Daniel cheers on the Tennessee Vols, Tennessee Titans, Nashville Soccer Club, and Nashville Predators. Daniel attends Calvary Baptist Church with his wife and is an active member of the Murfreesboro Breakfast Rotary Club, having also previously served on its board.
