Blake Garner joined Hudson, Reed & McCreary in the fall of 2012. Blake represents clients in a variety of areas including, but not limited to, insurance defense/personal injury, government, business transactions, real estate and employment law. Blake has successfully represented individuals, businesses, non-profits, and governmental entities in a wide range of legal matters. Blake received his undergraduate degree in political science from Western Kentucky University in 2008. Blake then graduated cum laude from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2012 where he received Dean’s List honors and a Certificate of Academic Excellence. While in law school, Blake was a two year member of the College of Law’s Labor and Employment Moot Court Team, an active member of the Moot Court Board, and served as President of the Christian Legal Society. Blake was also selected by the Tennessee College of Law faculty for membership in the Order of Barristers, a national honor society recognizing excellence in oral and written advocacy skills. Prior to joining the firm, Blake clerked for a Knoxville business litigation firm and a Nashville civil litigation firm .
Blake was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 2012 and is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and Rutherford/Cannon County Bar Association.
Blake is admitted to practice in Tennessee state courts, and the United States District Courts for the Middle and Eastern Districts of Tennessee. He is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and Rutherford/Cannon County Bar Association. Blake and his wife, Catherine, are members of New Vision Baptist Church, where they serve in various capacities. In his spare time, Blake enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, keeping up with politics and international affairs, playing sports, and cheering on the Vanderbilt Commodores.
