Jeffrey L. Reed

Mr. Reed has practiced in the areas of real estate development, commercial litigation, construction law, and education law for over thirty years. Mr. Reed has extensive experience representing lenders and developers in complex real estate transactions.

Mr. Reed has been invited as a speaker before other attorneys at professional seminars concerning real estate development law, property law, and establishing declarations of covenants, conditions and restrictions for commercial and residential developments.

Within the community, Mr. Reed has served on the Board for the United Way for Middle Tennessee, the Board of Directors for the Middle Tennessee Symphony Guild, and the development board for Middle Tennessee Medical Center. Mr. Reed has been active in the Tennessee Bar Association, and has previously served in a number of Board Member capacities on the Tennessee Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division working as the Editor for its membership publications and the Governor for the Middle District of Tennessee for many years. Mr. Reed has served as a Hearing Officer for the Board of Professional Responsibility for the State of Tennessee which oversees the discipline of attorneys within the state.

Mr. Reed is admitted to practice in Tennessee State Courts, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Reed received his doctorate of jurisprudence with honors from the University of Tennessee in 1991. He served as assistant editor to the Tennessee Law Review.
