Roger Hudson

Roger Hudson, Attorney at Law· civil litigation with emphasis on personal injury, workers' compensation and insurance defense

Mr. Hudson has been engaged in the practice of law since 1985 and has been a partner in the firm of C,H,S,R & M since 1990. His practice is focused in the area of civil litigation with an emphasis on personal injury, workers' compensation and insurance defense.

Mr. Hudson currently does extensive work for State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance, State Farm Fire and Casualty Company and Rutherford County, Tennessee, as well as American National Property and Casualty Insurance Company. He has also participated in a week long seminar, mock trial and workshop regarding arson related issues at State Farm Insurance Company in Bloomington, Illinois. Mr. Hudson served as general counsel for TennMark, a telecommunication company before it was purchased Black Box Telecommunications.

In addition to his law practice, Mr. Hudson has been an active member of the Murfreesboro/Rutherford County community for many years. Mr. Hudson has served as United Way of Rutherford County campaign chair and board chair and is a past board member and board of chair of Mainstreet Murfreesboro, as well as past president of Blackman High School Parent Association. Mr. Hudson is also a past board member of Crime Stoppers, the American Heart Association, Rehability Company, United Way of Rutherford County, Siegel High School Parent Association, Middle Tennessee Council Boy Scouts of America and the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Hudson is a graduate of Leadership Rutherford and received the Community Service Award in 2002. He is currently a member of the Stones River Kiwanis Club and is President-Elect for the year 2008. Mr. Hudson has been a member of the First Baptist Church of Murfreesboro since 1980 where he has served as Trustee and in other capacities.

Mr. Hudson is admitted to practice law in the Tennessee State Court and United States District Court for the Middle and Eastern Districts of Tennessee and is a member of the Rutherford County, Tennessee Bar Association. He is a past member of the Tennessee Bar Association Insurance Committee.

Mr. Hudson received his undergraduate degree in business finance from Middle Tennessee State University in 1977 and his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1980.

Mr. Hudson was employed as a field claims representative at State Farm Insurance Company from 1980 to 1984 before beginning his law practice in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
