Jeremy Cothern

The law firm of Cope, Hudson, Reed & McCreary, PLLC, is pleased
to announce Mr. Jeremy M. Cothern has joined the firm as an associate.
Mr.
Cothern graduated cum laude from The University of the South (Sewanee)
with an honors degree in English Literature. While at Sewanee, Mr.
Cothern played varsity basketball and was elected Team Captain in his
senior season and Most Improved Player in his junior season. He was
also active in Habitat for Humanity, youth basketball clinics, and went
on an Alternative Spring Break trip to Quito, Ecuador. Mr. Cothern
participated in study abroad programs at La Universidad Madrid in
Madrid, Spain and at St. John's College in Oxford, England.
Mr.
Cothern graduated cum laude from the University of Tennessee College of
Law. In law school, Mr. Cothern served as a Second and Third Year
Editor on the Tennessee Law Review, a Second Year Member and Research
and Articles Editor on Transactions: The Tennessee Journal of Business
Law, and Second Year Editor and Research Candidacy Process Editor for
the Tennessee Journal of Law & Policy. Mr. Cothern also clerked for
Chancellors Daryl Fansler and John F. Weaver of the Knox County
Chancery Court in the fall of his third year of law school.
A Murfreesboro native, Mr. Cothern graduated from the Youth Leadership Rutherford program in 2001.
